Angelo James Petrungaro, 67, of Munster, IN passed away on Monday, September 25, 2017. He is survived by his wife of 43 years, Patricia (nee Marciniec); son Dr. Jason (Amy) Petrungaro; daughter, Nicole Marie Petrungaro; sister, Rosanne Petrungaro; brother, Dr. Paul (Danielle) Petrungaro; several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins. Preceded in death by his parents, Saverio and Genevieve Petrungaro. Funeral service will be held on Monday, October 2, 2017 at 9:15 am at Kish Funeral Home, 10000 Calumet Ave. Munster, IN with a 10:00 am Mass of Christian Burial at St. James the Less Church, 9640 Kennedy Ave. Highland, IN. Visitation will be held on Sunday October 1, 2017 from 1:00-7:00 pm at the funeral home. Family was the pride and joy of Angelo’s life. Always a man of his word, he valued the diligence of hard work and approached every aspect of his life with great perseverance. He was a man of respect and honor who loved his country and cherished his faith. Angelo was deeply loved and revered by all who knew him. May he rest in peace with his memory in our hearts forever.

The best cousin you could ask for. My mentor as a young boy. My Godfather. He was always about family. Family was very important to "Buddy." He was at every family event no matter where it was. He and Patty were there. He opened up his house each summer to bring family together for a BBQ. He always had a kind word, quick wit and positive attitude. I will miss him tremendously.
