Anne (Feldman) Kodicek passed away at home in Delray Beach Florida on April 6, 2014. Anne was born in New York City on March 15, 1910, and grew up in East Chicago Indiana. She was a proud alum of the East Chicago Washington class of 1927. First and foremost, she was a devoted wife and mother. Anne and her husband Rudy had a very happy and interesting life together until he passed away in 2005. They were active in Jewish Community activities both in Indiana and in Florida. Anne was an active member of Hadassah, Congregation Beth Israel and the Jewish Federation of Northwest Indiana. She leaves to cherish her memory her daughter Miriam of Munster and her son David of Florida, two grandsons, Dan (Michelle) Kodicek and great granddaughter, Ella of Valparaiso, Matthew (Jena) Kodicek and great grandson, Ben, of Crown Point, her brother Harry Feldman (late Eve) of Munster and brother Irving Feldman (late Pauline) of Munster, sister -in- law Mildred (Kodicek) Rosenfeld of Mishawaka- and numerous nieces and nephews. A son, Lawrence Kodicek, preceded both Anne and Rudy in death many years ago. Anne was the daughter of Jacob and Molly Feldman of blessed memory. Anne encouraged the success and happiness of her entire family. She was an inspiration to all.
Funeral service will be on Wednesday, April 9, 2014 at 1:30 PM at Kish Funeral Home, 10000 Calumet Ave. Munster, IN. Interment will be at Kneseth Israel Cemetery, Hammond, IN. Visitation will be on Wednesday from 12:30-1:30 PM at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Illiana Chapter of Hadassah, 1506 Fran-lin Parkway, Munster Indiana, Congregation Beth Israel, The Jewish Federation, or a charity of your choice.
