Bernie Mashura, 81 of Munster, IN passed away on Tuesday, July 3, 2018. He is survived by his loving wife of 37 years, Kaaren; brothers, Louis and Richard Mashura; sister-in-law, Pamela (Lillard) Brown; several nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, great great nieces and a great great nephew, cousins and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Louis and Elizabeth Mashura; brother, Arnold Mashura and sisters-in-law, Dorothy and Joan Mashura. Visitation will be on Friday, July 6, 2018 from 3:00-8:00 pm with a prayer service at 3:30 pm at Kish Funeral Home, 10000 Calumet Ave. Munster, IN and on Saturday from 9:30-10:00 am at the church. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, July 7, 2018 at 10:00 am at St. Thomas More Church, Munster, IN. Interment will be at St. Joseph-St. John Cemetery, Hammond, IN. Bernie served with the U.S. Army and retired from LTV Steel after 44 years of service. He was an active member of St. Thomas More Church, The Knights of Columbus and Wednesday Morning Bible Study. He loved golf, his vegetable garden and his pets, Buddy and TJ.
