Carmen Herrera, 78, of Whiting, IN, passed away Wednesday, December 10, 2025. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ruben Paniagua; parents, Jose and Carmen; brothers, Gabriel, Jesse, Roberto, and Jose Gonzalo; sisters, Maria De Jesus, and Sara.

Carmen is survived by her son, Ruben (Lorena Jimenez) Paniagua; daughters, Ivonne (Christopher) Vines, and Carmen Paniagua; grandchildren, Ruben D. Golfis, and Rosa Maria Paniagua; brothers, Francisco, Carlos, and Jaime; sisters, Olivia, Teresa, and Celina; and many nieces and nephews.

Carmen enjoyed traveling and going on cruises through the years, at home she loved doing puzzles, listening to her music, playing cards or taking a trip to the casino with her sisters. Carmen was a family woman whose greatest joy was spending time with her kids, grandkids, and siblings. She was a devoted catholic for all her life. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
