Catherine “Kay” Wilkinson passed away peacefully on June 7, 2025, at the age of 91, surrounded by her loving family. Kay was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother who always had a smile on her face. Her biggest joy was watching her grandchildren grow and supporting them at their activities and sporting events.
Kay was born on October 11, 1933, in Hammond, Indiana and graduated from George Rogers Clark High School in 1951. She married the love of her life, Art Wilkinson, on October 6,1956.
Kay is survived by her beloved children: Ray (Christine) Wilkinson, Jim (Helen) Wilkinson, Mary (Jim) Lebryk, Brian Wilkinson (Robert), grandchildren: Andrea (Gary) Monix, Christopher (Shelli) White, Randall White, Ryan (Jenna) Wilkinson, Kyle Wilkinson, Cathy Lebryk, and four great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Art, parents, Louis and Mary Zatorski, and brothers, Frank and Louis Zatorski.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday June 18, 2025 at 10:00 am at St. Thomas More Church, Munster, IN. Visitation will be on Tuesday, June 17, 2025 from 4:00-8:00 pm at Kish Funeral Home, 10000 Calumet Ave. Munster, IN. and on Wednesday from 9:30-10:00 am at the church. Interment will be at Holy Cross Cemetery, Calumet City, IL.
Kay was a supporter of Father Blaney’s ‘The Share Foundation’. In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory can be made to (www.sharefoundation.org)
