Daniel Slagle passed away on August 19, 2021. He is survived by his loving wife of 10 years, Becky; mother, Carol Slagle; his fun loving sheepies, Norman, Winston and (late Skye); mother-in-law, Sonja; sister-in-law, Monica; many loving aunts and uncles. He was preceded in death by his father, Roman Slagle; brother-in-law, Mark; grandmother, Ethel Patrizi.
Work hard, play harder…that was one of Dan’s favorite mottos. Dan loved life and lived life full throttle. Dan and Becky shared a love for adventure, they loved to travel, play with their Old English Sheepdogs, spend time with family and friends, get out on the water and when winter arrived, they were always on the quest to find snow for their love of snowmobiling. Dan would try anything once and even built up the courage to fly around the world with Becky.
His love for Becky and his mother was immeasurable, after his father passed, Dan took such great care of her making sure she knew everything was going to be ok. Dan was like a brother to his dearest friends, he was always there for those he loved, through the good and the bad, he was always there to listen and to lend a hand.
Dan was so charismatic and would always make people laugh and bring a smile to their face, his personality truly was larger than life. He taught us to live each day as if it were our last and we will all carry that lesson on. “Crazy D” will be sorely missed by all of us, we will cherish all the memories we created with him and let those memories bring a smile to our face because Dan wouldn’t want it any other way.
