Dolores D. Gorcowski, age 84, of Lansing, IL, passed away on Tuesday, September 20, 2016. She is survived by her son, David (Susan) Gorcowski; daughter, Lauri Gorcowski; grandchildren, Nicole (Doug) Furlan, Amy (Manuel) Santos and Nicholas Gorcowski; great granddaughter, Abigail Furlan; great grandson, Thomas Richard Furlan. She was preceded in death by her husband, Richard C. Gorcowski; and son, Richard Gorcowski, Jr. Visitation will be on Saturday, October 15, 2015 at Kish Funeral Home 10000 Calumet Ave. Munster, IN, from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. Memorial Services will be held at 2:00 p.m., with Reverend Ken Puent, officiating. Interment will be private. Dolores was born in Chicago Heights and raised her family in Lansing, IL, where she lived the remaining years of her life. She was the youngest, last surviving sibling of 12 children and will be remembered as Auntie Dolores, to many nieces and nephews. For years, Dolores held the family tradition of making homemade raviolis for the holidays. Dolores and Richard enjoyed vacations to Las Vegas, Michigan, Myrtle Beach and the Bahamas. Dolores stayed true to her south side roots and remained a devoted White Sox fan!
