Donna Bleicher, 82, of Munster, IN passed away Sunday September 14,2008.Throughout her long illness, Donna displayed remarkable perseverance and an inspired attitude towards life.She is survived by her loving husband of 61 years: Matthew; sons: James(Judith)Bleicher of Grand Blanc, MI and John(Martha) Bleicher of Missoula, MT; daughters: Barbara(late Richard)Baxter of Houston, TX and Laura(John)Shieldsof Munster IN; grandchildren: Matthew(Dana), Zak, and Jimi Bleicher, BethBleicher, Maureen and Sam Shields; great-granddaughter Kathryn Bleicher; sisters:Josephine(late Chancy)Smith and Carol(late William)Bonner both ofClearwater, FL; brother in law: Gordon(late Barbara)Powers; many nieces and nephews and great friends, including her beloved \”Thursday Girls\”. Preceded indeath by her brothers: john, Joseph and Steven(late Julia) Vukin; sisters: Mary Stewart, Katherine(late Robert)Murray,infant sister Ann, and loving Uncle JohnGlivar.Funeral service will be held on Thursday September 18, 2008 with Father Andrew Corona presiding at 11:00 AM from Kish Funeral Home 10000 Calumet Ave.(next to Fitness Pointe) Munster IN. Cremation to follow service; Visitation will be on Wednesday from 2:00-4:00 and 6:00-8:00PM and on Thursday from 10:30-11:00 AM.Donna was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and volunteerwho will be missed by all who knew her. In lieu of flowers,memorial contributions to Hospice of the Calumet Area in her memory would be appreciated.
