Eunice Evelyn Crary (Walker), age 79 of Munster, passed away on February 27, 2011. She was born in Hammond, IN on December 29, 1931 to Crisler and Ethel (Cole) Walker. She graduated from Hammond High School in 1950. She is survived by her loving husband of 50 years, Charles James Crary; four children: Mark (Barbara) Crary, Shelley (John) Van Amstel, Michael (Chris) Crary, Sandra (Daniel) Harvey; 12 grandchildren: Rachel and Veronica Crary, Amy (Dan) Starkey, Adam Van Amstel, Annie Norton, Kelsey, Allie, Jason and Cody Crary; Sara, Andrew and Alexander Harvey; and three great grandchildren: Lexi Starkey, Isabella and Elijah Van Amstel. Eunice was preceded in death by her parents, her brother, Jack Walker, sister, Joann (Larry) Michael and daughter Lyn Crary. Visitation will be on Wednesday, March 2, 2011 from 3:00-8:00 PM at Kish Funeral Home, 10000 Calumet Ave. Munster, IN and on Thursday from 9:30-10:00 AM at the church. Funeral service will be Thursday at 10:00 AM at the Ridge United Methodist Church, 8607 Columbia Ave. Munster, IN. Interment will be at Elmwood Cemetery, Hammond, IN. Eunice was an avid Chicago White Sox Fan. She loved playing the piano, square dancing, baking, knitting, playing chicken foot and beating everyone at Chinese checkers. She was the heart of her family and loved being with them. Eunice will be dearly missed by all. Memorial donations may be given in lieu of flowers to the American Cancer Society or Hospice of the Calumet Area.
