Sue, Colin, Alyssa, Lucy and Elliott, My heart breaks in this sudden loss of your husband, father, father-in-law, and Grandpa, My thoughts and prayers are with you and the family, for God’s peace and comfort. I am thankful I had the honor to meet Everett (Doogie) on several occasions at family events. I knew instantly this was a very special man!! Heaven just became even sweeter with Everett there. I know there are lots of conversations, funny stories being shared with Grandpa Harry, Grandpa Ted, (my dad) and now my husband Larry in Heaven. My love and prayers continue to be with all of you in the days ahead.

What a tribute. Every word of it made me smile. All of it brought him into the room where I write this. I can hear his laugh. I called him and Sue the Catherine and Heathcliff of da Reguon Wuthering Heights. I’m so grateful for the memories. And it makes me happy to think he’s reunited with Nane, Rick, and Jimmy.

Doogie was a fantastic friend. I have many fond memories of Doogie's great sense of humor and discussing views on current and past events. The world was a better place with Doogie in it - he will be missed.
