We are heartbroken by the loss of our dear friend Frank. I first met Frank many years ago in Zagreb, Croatia, where we worked together and formed a friendship that would last a lifetime. Life took us on different paths—I made my way to Germany, and eventually to America. Two years later, I found myself in Milwaukee, playing soccer for the Croatian Eagles. One day, Frank was at a game and thought he recognized me, but wasn’t quite sure—until he noticed my missing thumb on my left hand. In that moment, we found each other again. We embraced with tears, overwhelmed by the joy of reconnecting after so many years. That very night, Frank and Maria came to our home, and from that day forward, our families became deeply connected. For 57 years, we shared friendship, laughter, and countless memories together. We will always cherish our nights playing Belot—those lively matches of men versus women—and the way Frank’s piercing blue eyes would light up when he had a strong hand. Those moments were filled with warmth, humor, and a love for life that Frank carried so naturally. Frank was more than a friend—he was family to both of us. His presence brought light into our lives, and his spirit will remain with us always. Though our hearts are heavy, we find comfort in knowing that his memory will live on within us until we meet again. We will stand by Maria and her loving family, offering our support, love, and strength during this difficult time. Rest in peace, our dear Frank. May your eyes continue to sparkle in heaven as you play Belot with the angels, held in the grace and love of Christ Jesus. You will forever be in our hearts. Zbogom nas dragi Frank! Bog i Hrvati! 🇭🇷❤️🇭🇷❤️🇭🇷❤️🇭🇷❤️🇭🇷
