Frank M. Maggio, age 65 of Munster, passed away on Sunday, May 24, 2026. He is survived by his loving wife of 11 years, Lisa Maggio; children, Richard (Megan) Wheeler, Meagan Marinello (Michael Morrison); grandchildren, Luca Marinello, Ayla Morrison, Ryker Morrison, Blake Wheeler and Mabel Wheeler; brother, Randy (Mary) Brown; sister in law, Anne (late Steve) Krieger (Franz Fischl); brother in law, Frank (Sara) Bernacke; numerous and cherished nieces, nephews and cousins; best friends, Richie Christan, Steve “Pooch” Puchalski, Steve Pskalo and Paul Hernandez. He was preceded in death by his parents, Sylvester and Francesca “Lucia” Maggio and brother, Michael F. Maggio.
A devoted family man, Frank took immense pride in supporting his children and grandchildren at every event and milestone. Whether cheering from the sidelines or simply spending time together, he made his family feel valued and deeply loved. He especially treasured gatherings with family and friends at John’s Pizza in Munster, where laughter and memories were always shared around the table.
Outside of family life, Frank enjoyed playing poker as a hobby and was proud to have won the WSOP Senior Event in 2017. He carried both humility and determination in everything he pursued.
Frank also had a spirit for adventures and travels. He fulfilled a dream of visiting Machu Picchu in South America and backpacked through several parts of Europe, experiences he spoke about with great joy and appreciation.
Those who knew him will remember his passion for family and friends, his kindness, his generosity, and the unwavering support he gave to the people around him. His presence will be deeply missed, but the love and memories he created will remain forever in the hearts of all who knew him.
Visitation will be on Thursday, June 4, 2026 from 10:00 A.M. to 12:00 P.M. with a service to follow at 12:00 P.M., officiated by Fr. Charles Niblick at Kish Funeral Home 10000 Calumet Avenue, Munster, IN.
