Fred “Taco” Hidalgo, age 78 of Highland, IN passed away peacefully on Friday, June 7, 2024. He is survived by his loving wife, Jana (nee Villa) Hidalgo; sons, Steve Hidalgo of San Diego, CA, the late Freddie Hidalgo formerly of Chicago, IL and Mike Hidalgo of Chicago, IL; daughter, Natalie Hidalgo of Chicago, IL; grandchildren, Bella Hidalgo, Jordan Hidalgo, Julia Diaz, Joe Diaz, Lezley Diaz, Cindy Hidalgo, Amaris Hidalgo, Nickolas Hidalgo and Mike Hidalgo; brother, Stanley Hidalgo of Chicago, IL; and sister, Shirley Hoffman of Longview, TX. Fred was preceded in death by his parents, Juan and Regina Hidalgo; and son, Freddie Hidalgo.

Funeral Services will be held on Friday, June 14, 2024 DIRECTLY at St. Maria Goretti Catholic Church 500 Northgate Dr. Dyer, IN with a 10:00 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial offered by Reverend Leonardo Gajardo. Interment will follow at Memory Lane Memorial Park Crown Point, IN. Visitation will be on Thursday, June 13, 2024 at KISH FUNERAL HOME 10000 Calumet Ave. Munster, IN from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. and again on Friday, at the church from 9:00 a.m. until the 10:00 a.m. Mass.

To My Favorite Brother-in-Law , Oops my Only Brother-in-Law Fred! Could not ask for a Better One. Your going to be missed Fred, more the we know!! You always used your good tactic’s using me to convince my sister to taking you to the casino, but you got your way.. your face lit up like sunshine !! Then you wheeled your motorized wheelchair by the Black Jack table to see what I was winning and another smile 😀 “As where’s my half”. Will not ever forget those Vegas trips either … This is couple of many memories that I will always remember you by Rest-In Heaven Fred !! ❤️
