Gina Borck, née Villapiano, passed away peacefully on November 9, 2025, surrounded by family. Born in 1954 in Chicago, we were blessed to have Gina for 71 years. She grew up in Thornton, Illinois, and retired in Bonita Springs, Florida with her husband and daughter a few years ago.

Gina is survived by her beloved husband of 52 years, Michael, daughter Angela, sister Jo Marie LeRose, many nieces and nephews, and brother and sisters-in-law. Gina is preceded in death by her mother Mary Villapiano, brother Daniel Villapiano, Grandparents Gino and Regola Leoni, in-laws Conrad and Francis Borck, and many other loved ones and friends.

Gina was a devoted wife, mother, sister, auntie and friend to all she held dearly. She loved golfing with her friends and her husband and was so close to getting a hole in one several times. Gina was a champion Baton Twirler in her youth. She enjoyed music and would always be the first one on the dance floor, especially at a wedding, where she would always request the DJ play the “Chicken Dance.” Gina was famous for her lasagna and it was on every holiday table. She enjoyed traveling with her family and seeing places she had always dreamed of. Gina was a Daycare Director and loved caring for children and watching them grow. After she retired, she became a caregiver to several friends and family. In recent years she enjoyed her retirement community and days at the pool or beach, as well as being part of the Ladies Golf group, attending the Ladies Luncheons, and was a member of the Bocce team.

She was always here for all of us and she will be deeply and dearly missed.

Funeral Services will be held on Thursday, November 20, 2025 at Kish Funeral Home 10000 Calumet Ave, Munster, IN at 6:00 p.m. with a Visitation prior starting at 2:00 p.m. until the 6:00 p.m. Service. Interment will be private.
