Joan M. Belka, age 90 of Munster, IN passed away on Sunday, June 22, 2025. She is survived by her children, Richard Belka, Sue (Mike) Briante, Tim (Lilia Garcia) Belka, Jean (Dan) Hamilton and Tom (Julie) Belka; grandchildren, Jennifer (Dave) Gavril, Rachael (Joe) Seida, Marisa Briante (Dave Lash), Michael Briante (Karen Munoz), Alexandra Briante (Erick Carbajal), Sam Briante (Aaron Nova), Abigail Belka, Madeline Belka, Harrison Belka, Shannon Hamilton (Dave McMannus), Danny Hamilton, Stephanie Hamilton, Joe (Jessie) Belka, Barbara Belka, Tommy Belka and Audrey Belka; great grandchildren, Joseph Gavril, Michael Gavril, Jacob Seida, Everett Seida and Teddy Seida. Joan was preceded in death by her loving husband, Richard Belka.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, June 28, 2025 at St. James the Less Catholic Church 9640 Kennedy Ave Highland, IN. Interment will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery Calumet City, IL. Visitation will be on Friday, June 27, 2025 at Kish Funeral Home 10000 Calumet Ave Munster, IN from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m.
Joan was a proud mom, grandma and great grandma. She enjoyed spending time with her family. Joan always made sure that her grandchildren and great grandchildren were taken care of. She was an avid Chicago Cubs fan. Joan had a heart of gold and will be missed by many.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Joan’s memory to Hospice of the Calumet Area.
