John Nickoloff Rogers, 29, of Munster, IN passed away on Friday, February 9, 2018. He is survived by his parents, Stephen and Diana (nee Nickoloff) Rogers; sister, Mariana Marieva Rogers; grandmothers, Ellen Nickoloff and Joyce Rogers; great aunt, Mary Nickoloff; Aunts and Uncles, Kristina (Richard) Schumacher, Mary Ellen (late Frank) Cardinale, Jane (Paul) Keown and Janet (Jamie) Irwin; cousins, Alison (Chris) Biggs; Andrew (Amy) Schumacher; Stephen (Lynsey) White; Jarrod (Rachel) Irwin and Jessica Irwin. He was preceded in death by his grandfathers, John Nickoloff and James Rogers. Visitation will be held on Monday, February 12, 2018 from 3:00-8:00 pm at Kish Funeral Home, 10000 Calumet Ave. Munster, IN and on Tuesday from 10:00-11:00 am at the church. Funeral service will be held on Tuesday, February 13, 2018 at 11:00 am at Ridge United Methodist Church, 8607 Columbia Ave. Munster, IN. Interment will be private. John graduated from Munster High School Class of 2006 and Columbia College of Chicago in 2015. He was a gifted musician, especially with piano and acoustic guitar. He will be greatly missed by all who love him. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Ridge United Methodist Church in his memory would be appreciated.

Whenever I hear “Send me on my Way,” I’m back in your dorm room. You’re pouring your heart out on those six strings and it doesn’t seem like anything outside those four walls means a thing. johnrogers, you had a beautiful soul. Whenever you are, I hope there’s much playing.

I met john on a train in chicago n we became close on facebook andi went to his house once or twice and he played the gutair for me. He was one of the most smartest person I know we lost contact a few years ago and I'm so sad to hear he Is gone

He died from having too much poop sex

I am deeply saddened to learn of your son's passing, and can only think of what Bill Riley's Dad said when he got the news, "God's will be done". I will pray for John, his sister, and his Mom and Dad. We love you.

Dear Diana, Stephen and Mariana, Ray, Serena, Rayrayand I are thinking of you and send you hugs and positive thoughts and prayers for strength and peace today and in the days to come. I hadn‚Äôt seen John for quite some time but I remember him in Ceramics and there watching our girls play basketball together. I was happy to read he had gone to Columbia and kept creating music.

John was a dear friend of mine since I can remember. From vacation bible school, to the pool in the summer and Thanksgiving family dinners. Such a wonderful musician and a great person to talk to.

I remember one night with our "gourmet club". We were at Rogers and John was home. He sat down at the piano and played so beautifully, bringing additional magic to our evening.
