Julia Zega (née Kachadorian), of Lynwood, Ill., passed away at age 90 on June 3, 2025, after a prolonged illness.

Born on the South Side of Chicago to Nick and Elizabeth Kachadorian, she graduated from Fenger High School in 1953. Among other jobs, Julia worked more than 30 years at Specialty Brands/Ventura Foods.

She is preceded in death by her parents; sister, Nora; and husband of nearly 50 years, John. She is survived by her children, Paul, Karen and Michelle (Tim Fish); and grandchildren Jamie Zega (David Blumberg), John Fish and Dylan Majchrowicz.

A visitation will be held Friday, June 6, from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. at Kish Funeral Home at 10000 Calumet Ave., in Munster, Ind., with a prayer service at 6 p.m. led by Fr. Charles Niblick.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Carmelite Fathers, in Munster, IN.
