Lorraine M. Safin, 82 of Hammond, IN passed away on Monday, March 31, 2014. She is survived by her daughter, Marie (Rick) Rarick of Brownsburg, IN; sons, Jim (Tina) Safin of Dyer, IN, Robert (Casey) Safin of Grayling, MI and Kevin (Diane) Safin of Highland, IN; grandchildren, Nicole, Eric, Monica, Kristena, Alex, Jimmy, Benjamin and Sierra; great grandsons, Harrison and Nate; brothers, Dr. Walter (Nancy) Urbanski of Munster, IN, Henry Urbanski of Arizona and Mark Urbanski of Wisconsin; several nieces and nephews; preceded in death by her husband, Chester Safin and sisters, Dolores and Valeria; Visitation will be on Thursday, April 3, 2014 from 3:00-8:00 PM at Kish Funeral Home, 10000 Calumet Ave. Munster, IN. Funeral service will on Friday, April 4, 2014 at 9:15 AM at the funeral home with a 10:00 AM Mass of Christian burial at St. Joseph Church, Hammond, IN. Interment will be at Holy Cross Cemetery, Calumet City, IL. Lorraine was a member of St. Joseph Altar and Rosary Society. She was a great fan of the Chicago White Sox and the Green Bay Packers. In lieu of flowers, contributions to the American Cancer Society in her memory would be appreciated.
