Luis Navarro Garcia, age 80, of Schererville, IN passed away peacefully on Saturday, December 9, 2017 with his family by his side.Luis is survived by his wife and best friend Evangelina R. Navarro, of 54 years; his children: Teresa, Georgina, Luis, (Colleen) and Eva; his grandchildren: Marissa and Manuel, and his great-grandchildren Mason and Mia.Luis was born and raised in Mexico then settled in Chicago, IL where he provided for his family. He relocated to Indiana where he enjoyed retirement by traveling and swimming with his loving wife. He cherished spending time with his family.Luis was a devoted husband, loving father, grandfather and great-grandfather who adored his family deeply and he will be forever remembered for his giving soul, spirit and heart of gold.Visitation will be on Friday, December 15, 2017 from 2:00 p.m. until 8:00 pm at Kish Funeral Home, 10000 Calumet Ave. Munster, IN.A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, December 16, 2017 DIRECTLY at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church 3510 Deodar St. East Chicago, IN.
