Pegasus, sweet lord of the Lakes, you were a fierce competitor at the bridge table and you loved life and your family. Helping you become a Life Master was one of the highlights of my bridge career. I will treasure your memory forest , rest well, my friend. Love always, George G.

Dear Jane, Mark, Amy, Jeff and Joan, We are so sorry for your loss. We have such fond memories of both Peg and George. When we bought our first home on Baring Avenue, we never could have dreamed that we would gain such wonderful friends and neighbors. We loved Peg's wisdom, humor, and candor. I have missed our backyard garden chats over the years. May the road rise up to meet her. May the wind be always at her back. May the sun shine warm upon her face; the rains fall soft upon her fields and until we meet again, may God hold her in the palm of His hand.

Dear Mark, Jane, Jeff, Amy and Joan, Sincerest condolences on your mother's passing. I was fortunate to meet her at two very memorable Kiernan reunions. I can still see her seated in the cart attached to the tracker going through the fields heading to the Kiernan Homestead. I still don't know how she managed it so handily. Kindly regards, Regina

Jane, Amy, Joan, Mark and Jeff, So sorry to hear about Aunt Peg. Doesn’t seem fair after all she’s fought through. I know you are all heart sick. Hard to believe the last of the “old guard” is gone. I always appreciated her heartfelt questions and passionate curiosity. She always made a point to speak to me and ask what was going on in my life at our get togethers. Prayers for all of you knowing she is in the best of hands and having quite the welcoming party. Love, Cousin Jim Salmon

The many conversations Peg & I had became as important as spending time with Amy during my visits. Early on, she said I needed her permission before coming back again to visit Amy. She couldn't contain herself very long, and we both broke out in laughter. And who can help but fall in love with a woman that enjoys a glass of scotch! Peg was a wonderful matriarch and shared her wisdom willingly. Her loss leaves us with great memories. Yes, even me as the newest outlaw to this group.

I loved that there was "no pretense" with you. I shared with you your love of gardens and have a bit of your garden in mine when you decided to downsize yours. You were a mama bear when it came to protecting your friends. I know the Clusserath Family is honored to know the Kiernan's. Dana Booth

I was very sorry to hear of Peggy’s passing. My condolences to the entire family who loved her so. Peggy was such a pleasure to get to know at the Kiernan family gatherings I felt privileged to attend. I’ll never forget how thoughtful she was to send me a photo of the Crott Homestead painting that hung in the East Chicago home. And after reading this tribute, what a full life she led! May she Rest In Peace. ?

Peggy wow Peggy was amazing and a Joy to be with none better!!! When ever she drove we were sure to get there in plenty of time she had a lead foot. She always had a smile on her face and often she would get the silly grin when she thought she got away with something. She will be missed more than we can express, she will also be carried in our Hearts for the rest of our lives!!! She taught all of us how to face difficulties with a smile and with Grace!! She was one of a kind!!! We are honored to have had the pleasure to call her our friend!! God Bless you Peggy and your family!! Gale and Carol
