Mariann Murovic, age 84, formerly of Whiting, IN passed away on Friday, December 1, 2017. She is survived by her son, Joe E. (Susan) Murovic, Jr., daughters, Leslie A. Murovic and LeNore M. Murovic; grandchildren, Madalin M. (Nate Drozd) Murovic and Joe E. “T.J.” Murovic III; her beloved pets Molly the dog and Fred the fish; and sister-in-law, Marge Obrenski. Mariann was preceded in death by her parents, Ennis F. and Vera (nee Haraksin) Wilson; husband, Joe E. Murovic, Sr.; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. Funeral Services will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Thursday, December 7, 2017 at KISH FUNERAL HOME 10000 Calumet Ave. Munster, IN with Deacon Jim Renwick officiating. Interment will follow at Calumet Park Cemetery Merrillville, IN. Visitation will be on Wednesday, at the funeral home, from 2:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Mariann was an avid gardener, crafter and animal lover. She volunteered and helped in fundraising efforts for the Humane Society Calumet Area. The family is very grateful to the many friends and neighbors who have offered help in the past few years.
