Marianne D. Johnson

March 31, 1928 - August 19, 2021

Marianne D. Johnson, age 93 of Munster, IN passed away on Thursday, August 19, 2021.  She is survived by her sons, Gary (Patricia) Johnson and Wayne (late Chris) Johnson; granddaughter, Amie (Edward) Welsh; and great grandchildren, Rory and Brody Welsh; dear childhood friends, Shirley Raiman and Dorothy Sherman.  Marianne was preceded in death by her parents, Nicholas Langenberger and Wilhelmina Mueller; step-father, Friedrich Mueller; and husband, Royce Johnson.

A Memorial Committal Service & Interment will be held in May of 2022 DIRECTLY at Highland Memorial Park 33100 N. Hunt Club Road Libertyville, IL 60048 with Pastor Eric Kleinschmidt officiating.

Marianne was avid reader and crossword puzzle solver.  She was a very independent women who maintained impeccable lawns and gardens.  Marianne and Royce would dance the night away back in the day and enjoyed many cruises together.  She was a member of Redeemer Lutheran Church in Highland, IN and was a former member of St. Paul Evangelical Lutheran Church in Round Lake Park, IL.  Marianne was self-proclaimed “chocoholic” and to the end still enjoyed her Hersey bars!  In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in Mariannes’s name to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital (www.stjude.org) or the Disabled American Veterans Charity (www.dav.org).
