Brian Burmeister left a message on March 21, 2024:
Milan was a fine human being who cared for others. Well regarded at work and home with a sense of responsibility at the highest level. We were coworkers, roommates at the 5430 Club in Hyde Park, basketball players on our Donnelley League team (Binary Celtics) and good friends for many years. We attended many Final Fours together risking our necks driving to games in winter storms. Milan was not a flight fan so when we had to go to Donnelley divisions we would drive instead of flying. Although these trips coincided with watching practices with Coaches we knew and even going to games themselves. I only saw him upset once when Purdue lost to UCLA in the Final Four. Joe Lubenow and I drove down to see Milan and Karen at their new home and went to Teibels together for lake perch. We did speak together infrequently about basketball and did go to Valpo together for games, The world will miss him as do my wife Linds and I.
