On a whim I googled the name of my very first ,"head nurse" and am saddened to read of your loss. Pat set an example for me as a fresh nurse in 1978. I have since remembered her leadership, and kindness through the years. Though I have never met the mark she set, I am proud to say that I was mentored by one of the finest nurses I ever met.
