Though I haven't seen her for over 10 years, I felt very close to Rose. She was (is) my friend. I enjoyed talking to her a few times on the phone in the last few years. We were encouraging to each other. I wish her peace and her wonderful family healing. Thank You for your love Rose.

As I stood before the community of people today sharing my experiences with Mom, I could barely get through my tears. My message was about FRIENDS. I read a quote about friends who may part ways, but when they resume, it is like they never parted. My mom and I had a kind of friendship that kept us connected through our love and also many things we shared..Shopping, singing, dogs, arts, joking, philosophy and psychology, and so many things. We had some periods of little contact and for that I wish I could go back in time and change it. I came to a point when I moved to Florida, and with my husband's help and support began a new chapter with her. I resumed. Sharing my life with her on a deeper level. I drove her around the bay in a boat and watched the way she enjoyed the sun and wind on her face.I played tennis for her as she watched in her white outfit.I spent new years with her in our beach home.As time went went by I found ways to share whether it was having people send long distance reiki or chant or pray for her.I gave her tools to use for occupational therapy. I fed her. I held her. I would just be...I am still connected with her, and the last time I saw her I said good bye and held my hand out to her as she smiled. That is the way I will remember.

Your family graciously hosted me several times during our high school/BBYO years. I will always remember how kind your mother was, what a great cook she was and how proud she was of her family. May her memory be for a blessing.
