Thomas A. Kunst, 70, of Munster, IN passed away on Tuesday, September 22, 2020. He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Roseanne; daughters, Ann Marie Janatka and Cynthia Keyak; son, Michael (Kelly) Kunst; grandchildren, Nicholas Gaskin, Joshua Gaskin and Emma Janatka; brothers, Donald (late Sara) and James (late Janet) Kunst; sisters, Dolores Maatman and Diane (Jack) Ginley; faithful companions Sam and Bodhi; several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Frank and Helen Kunst.

Visitation will be on Saturday, September 26, 2020 from 3:00-7:00 pm with a funeral service at 7:00 pm at Kish Funeral Home, 10000 Calumet Ave. Munster, IN.

Tom was a member of the Millwright Local 1693 for over 40 years. In lieu of flowers, contributions to Humane Indiana in his memory would be appreciated.

Roseanne, my heart thinking of you and your loss, met you 40 years ago seems like yesterday. Such a loss for your girls and Michael.

It has been a year since our Lord called you home to ease your pain and suffering. When I look at your picture I see a handsome loving man devoted to his wife and children. Very hard to lose my younger brother. I keep remembering all our fun times we had together. Glad we shared your last trip to Lake Shore Resort. Until we meet again, may God hold you in the palm of His hand.

Although I did not know Tomas Kunst well, I know he was a wonderful man by the loving, strong family he raised. Your legacy and love will live on through them. Rest in peace.

When I was little, my Dad told me when he died, don’t be sad. Just give him a kiss and tell him goodbye and say “I love you Dad”. That was one of the hardest things I had to ever to do. I love you Dad. I miss you more than words can ever say. You always took care of your family and I will never forget your love and dedication to out family. You will be truly be missed and in our hearts forever. Love always, your little girl Cindy ❤️❤️❤️
