Thomas L. Kruk, age 73 passed away suddenly on Sunday, August 11, 2024 at home.  He is survived by his loving wife of 48 years, Susan (nee Szany) Kruk; daughter, Nicole (Michael) Case; grandsons, Skyler and Greyson Case; sister, Nancy (Joseph) O’Drobinak; and several nieces, nephews and cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents, John and Julia (nee Dzuik) Kruk.

Funeral Services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, August 16, 2024 at KISH FUNERAL HOME 10000 Calumet Ave. Munster, IN.  Interment will follow at Elmwood Cemetery Hammond, IN.  Visitation will be on Thursday, August 15, 2024 at the funeral home from 3:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.

Tom was a devoted and loving husband, father, and papa.  He was so proud of his grandsons and all of their accomplishments. Tom went to many of their school and sporting events. He was an avid racing fan and went to the Indy 500 for over 40 years, the Disney 400 in Florida and other various racing events, including Illiana.  He loved visiting Florida, Disney World, and St. Pete’s Beach where he enjoyed walking the beaches for hours.

Tom retired from NIPSCO with over 40 years of service and was a member of USW Local 12775.  He will be deeply missed by his family and friends.
