Vera was a life long resident of South Deering, Hegewisch, and more recently Lansing IL.  Vera retired from Palos Hospital after 45 years of service.  She enjoyed both fine and fun dining, vacationing with family, friends and her dear companion Robert Ortega.  Vera was a devoted mother to Jana and Jon. Vera and Jana shared so many of life’s gifts that will have memories for years to come. Vera was a friend to all and a mother figure to many who loved and adored her.   Vera belonged to several organizations in her lifetime including, her many years bowling with the ladies, the South Chicago Senior Club, SOARS, and was a dedicated supporter of South Chicago Parents & Friends and The American Cancer Society’s Relay for Life of Southeast Chicago. Vera’s kind heart, her love, her smile and her laughter will be missed but she will be remembered and loved forever.
