Cindy Watson Badten
Cindy has been with Kish Funeral Home for five years, has over 22 years of experience in the funeral industry, and also possesses a Life Insurance License with the state of Indiana. As a native of Munster, Indiana, she graduated from Munster High School and continues to educate herself by enrolling in classes about the state’s legislation changes concerning pre-paid funerals. Cindy has been a member of the Munster Historical Society for over 30 years and has served as president and is currently on the Board of Directors. From 1992 to 2010, she served in the Munster Parks Department’s Bieker Woods and Heritage Park Study Committee. Cindy was a consultant for the Indiana Historic Landmark Foundation’s “Architectural Survey of the Lake County Indiana” and was the chairman of the committee for celebrating the “150th Anniversary of the Founding of Munster, Indiana” in 1995.
Currently, Cindy gives talks to organizations about the history of Munster and Northwest Indiana. Her background is in marketing, real estate sales, and real estate title. Her son, Kevin Watson, is attending Purdue Calumet. She enjoys learning about history and genealogy and is working on attaining her family’s history dating from Colonial America into a book.
