A. David Koch, 72 of Dyer, IN formerly of Lansing, IL passed away on Friday, July 18, 2014. He is survived by his wife, Sharlene (Fessenden) Koch; son, Robert D. Koch, daughter, Kimberlee (Don) Slager; son, Jonathan (Tami) Koch; grandchildren, Megan (Terry) Nort, Robert (Alyson) Koch, Daniel (Christina) Slager, Thomas (Mary) Slager, Zachary Slager, Benjamin Slager, Jonathan J. (Lizzie) Koch, Paige Koch and David Koch; great grandchildren, Kali and Korbin Nort, Charlotte and Theodore Slager, Elijah and Jude Slager, Brody Koch; sisters, Barbara (Dave) Hurley and Kathleen (Robert) Lauer; brother-in-law, Donald (Judy) Fessenden; several aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Arthur and Betty Koch; sister, Beverly Jean Koch; father and mother-in-law, Mr. & Mrs. Martin Lee Fessenden. Visitation will be on Sunday, July 20, 2014 from 2:00-7:00 PM at Kish Funeral Home, 10000 Calumet Ave. Munster, IN. Funeral service will be on Monday at 12:00 PM at the funeral home. He was employed for 31 years at U.S. Steel Supply Division in South Chicago, IL. David was the owner and operator of Koch Custom Wrought Iron/Kofab (steel fabricating). He was a member of Arcadia Lodge in Lansing, IL. He was the former coach of Midwest Indiana Soccer League in Munster, IN. David was a member of Faith Church and its Men’s Prayer Group in Dyer, IN. He was a past member of Lansing Country Club and Briar Ridge Country Club. David loved to fish, golf, travel and always remained an avid Chicago White Sox and Bears fan.
