The last time I spoke with her Krystan & I were working in the school garden, she and Mrs. Guernsey were taking a walk around the school. They stopped to comment on the garden and what a beautiful day it was outside. It is a wonderful interaction to remember her by. She will be missed greatly.

There are no words to express the sadness I felt upon hearing of Amanda's passing. Prayers and thoughts are sent to her family, I had the privilege of working with Amanda at Eads when she was beginning her teaching career. She was an inspiration from the very beginning. She was a shining star that loved what she was doing and deeply cared for every student. She embraced every challenge, constantly looking for the best way to reach her students. Her JOY was front and center always. Not only was she concerned about her students but she actively worked to help her peers. She gave hours to help improve working conditions for the staff by assuming various roles in the MTA.
So many have fond memories of time spent with Amanda, she will be missed. Rest in peace my friend.
