David Andrew Warnock, 67 of Dyer Indiana passed away on January 6, 2016 after an extensive illness. He was born August 3, 1948 in Chicago, Illinois to Keith and Lucille Warnock who preceded him in death.David was a 1966 graduate of Fenger High School. He worked for various firms including National Tea and Shogun International. He was a member of St. John Catholic Church in Glenwood, Illinois where David taught 2nd grade Catholic education, a course designed to prepare youth for their first holy communion. Papa or Grandpa as David was known by his grandkids, was happy to see the walls of his room covered with drawings from the grandchildren and reveled in their attention. David is survived by his wife Kathy, and three daughters: Kerry (Roddy)Bohling, JoAnn (Tim)Streiler,and Jennifer (Nate)Wolf. He is also survived by five grandchildren, David Andrew Bohling, Nick Streiler, Jessica Bohling, Kaitlyn Streiler, and Teagan Wolf and eight brothers and sisters. Dorothy (Corky) Jones, Denise (Ken) Von Ogden, Darlene (Peter) Welling, Danny, Dianne O’Connor, Donna (Dan) Perrott, Darren and Darria. There are numerous nieces and nephews who will miss Uncle Dave. The family would like to recognize David’s home care giver, Michelle, who was invaluable and became like part of the family. In addition to his parents, David was preceded in death by his sister Debbi Warnock and a brother-in-law, Dr. Tim O’Connor, DO. Visitation will be on Friday, January 8, 2016 from 2:00-8:00 pm at Kish Funeral Home, 10000 Calumet Avenue, Munster, Indiana There will be a Mass of Christian Burial, Saturday, January 9, 2016 at 10:00 a.m. at St John Catholic Church 301 South Cottage Grove Avenue, Glenwood, IL. Interment will be at Resurrection Cemetery, Justice, IL.
