Frank R. Zudock of Munster, IN passed away surrounded by family on Thursday, November 16, 2017. He is survived by his wife and soulmate of 62 years, Violet; children, Gregory, Jeffrey, Thomas, and Christine; cherished grandchildren, Kristina, Katherine, Elizabeth, Margaret, William, Robert, Eric, and Dylan. Visitation will be held at Kish Funeral Home, 10000 Calumet Avenue, Munster, IN, on Friday November 24, 2017 from 3:00 PM to 8:00 PM. A Parastas service will be held at 7:00 PM. The funeral will be held at 10:00 AM on Saturday November 25, 2017 at the funeral home. Interment will be held immediately following the service at Chapel Lawn Memorial Gardens, 8178 Cline Avenue, Schererville, IN.Frank was born in East Chicago, IN on August 16, 1926 to Mary (Sablich) and Frank Zudock and resided in Northwest IN his entire life. He graduated from East Chicago Washington High School, volunteered for the Army Air Corps at 17 years of age, and served in Europe during and after World War II. After the war, he attended Indiana University and earned an accounting degree. In 1953, he met his future bride and soulmate Violet Pogosoff at a dance at Croatian Center, and history was made. They married two years later, and rarely spent a single day apart. Blessed with four children, Frank’s dedication to his career ensured he provided the best environment possible for his wife and growing children. He never missed a football game, play, musical, or award event for any of his children. Frank was a faithful son to his parents and a great brother to his three sisters Pauline, Mary, and Antoinette, always a part of each of their lives. He also extended his support to all his nieces and nephews, and was truly the best example a father and uncle can be. He instilled a steadfast work ethic to his family through example, and ensured a bond to family through generous deeds.Frank, or ‘Bobo’ as he was known at work, spent his career in the steel fabrication industry, beginning with Gary Steel Products. Joining as a fresh accountant from university, he helped fuel its tremendous growth, later becoming Vice President. When the opportunity presented itself, the business changed hands and he fulfilled his dream to partner as an owner. Work and family were his hobbies. Frank was a friend to many and was always available to help anyone, anywhere, anytime, regardless of the need.
