Helen C. Manich, age 88, of Schererville, IN passed away on Sunday, June 25, 2016. She is survived by her husband, Martin “Marty” Manich; children, Cecilia (late Robert) Gasiecki, Martin Manich, Helen Ann Manich, Judith Maniatis, Anthony (Sheri) Manich and Richard (Vicki) Manich; grandchild, LT JG Jacob Anthony Manich USN Aviator; and sisters, Millie Benacka and Mary Kuric. She was preceded in death by her parents, Anthony and Mary Benacka. Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, July 1, 2017 DIRECTLY at St. Maria Goretti Catholic Church 500 Northgate Dr. Dyer, IN with a 10:30 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial offered by Reverend Charles Niblick. Interment will be private. Visitation will be on Friday, at St. Maria Goretti Church, from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., and again on Saturday, at the church, from 9:30 a.m. until the 10:30 a.m. Mass. Dedicated to her husband of 67 years and her six children, she provided a loving and caring home. Helen was a wonderful wife and homemaker. She gave unselfishly to her husband and children, so that they may have a better life. She will be dearly missed.
