Leonard, 80, of Schererville, IN. passed away on Monday April 28, 2008; He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Joanne (nee Rhind); son: John Leonard; daughters: Judy (Michael) Allison and JoEllen (Michael) Otic; grandchildren: Priscilla Leonard, Lys Banfield, James and Ian Otic; great grandchild: Padraic Banfield; A Celebration of his life will be held on Tuesday May 6, 2008 at 11:00 AM from the Westminster Presbyterian Church 8955 Columbia Ave. Munster, IN. with Pastor Richard Rogers and Pastor Bruce Haapalainen officiating; Friends may visit with the family on Tuesday from 10:30-11:00 AM at the church; John served with the U.S. Air Force, retired from Inland Steel after 30 years of service, H&R Block after 19 years of service, member of the Westminster Presbyterian Church, the Shriners and played with the Drum and Bugle Corps.; In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions to Westminster Presbyterian Church in his memory would be appreciated.
