Marilyn P. Yost, age 88 of Dyer, IN formerly of South Holland, IL passed away on Wednesday, July 7, 2021.  She is survived by her sons, Gerald (Anne Marie Burchill) Yost and Brian (Marvlyn) Yost; grandsons, Matthew (Kate), Benjamin (Kelsey) and Andrew (Chelsie) Yost; great grandsons, Camden, Roman, and Emmitt Yost; brother-in-law Gail Hastings, and several nieces and nephews.  Marilyn was preceded in death by her parents, Earl and Verna Moore; husband, Richard Yost; and sisters Joyce Hastings, and Barbara Stuebe.

Visitation will be held from 1:30-6:30 p.m. on Tuesday, July 20, 2021 at South Side Christian Church, 1000 Broadmoor Ave. Munster, IN.  Service to follow at 6:30 p.m.  Reverend Kevin Groben will be officiating.  Interment will be private at Mt. Vernon Memorial Estates, Lemont, IL.

Marilyn was employed by several doctor’s offices for 39 years. She was a 38-year Breast Cancer survivor, past President of Thornridge High School PTA. in Dolton IL, a Sunday School Teacher for over 25 years at Central Christian Church in Harvey, and a member of South Side Christian Church in Munster. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in Marilyn’s name to South Side Christian Church or the American Cancer Society.
