Narcissa (nee Perez) Castillo, age 88, of Munster, IN passed away on Sunday, October 22, 2017. She is survived by her daughters, Dr. Gabriella (Dr. Gerald Longa) Castillo, Sonia Corwin Arndt and Diana (John) Shackelford; grandchildren, Allison Corwin (Mike Staniec), Jamie Corwin (Rob) Gronko, Nicole Longa (Jay) Vieria, Kiri Longa, Alex Longa, Major Jared (Brandi) Shackelford and Katherine Shackelford; beloved great grandchildren, Mason and Naomi Gronko, Jack Corwin Staniec and Savannah, William and Wyatt Shackelford; and sister, Gabriella Mack. Narcissa was preceded in death her parents, Conrado and Carmen (nee Jaimes) Perez; brothers, Conrado Perez, Jr. and Anthony (Madelyn) Perez; and grandson, Scott Corwin. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, October 24, 2017 DIRECTLY at St. Thomas More Catholic Church 8501 Calumet Ave. Munster, IN with a 10:00 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial offered by Reverend Jordan Fetcko. Interment will follow at St. John-St. Joseph Cemetery Hammond, IN. Visitation will be held on Monday, at Kish Funeral Home 10000 Calumet Ave. Munster, IN, from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Narcissa was a teacher and administrator in the School City of East Chicago for 41 years and influenced generations of students. She was a member of the Washington High School Alumni Association and the Lake County Teachers Association. Narcissa was a member of St. Thomas More Catholic Church in Munster, IN and the St. Thomas More Seniors.
