Noel Carrasco, age 72 of Cedar Lake, IN passed away on Friday, December 13, 2024. Noel Carrasco, age 72 of Cedar Lake, IN passed away on Friday, December 13, 2024. He is survived by his loving wife of 43 years, Maria (nee Alvarez) Carrasco; his children, Soutalgon (Leanna Bokodi), Dianna (Perry) Anagnos, Nataly (Adam) Skrabak and Yoel; grandchildren, Leonardo, Anastacia, Gabriel and Louie; family in Florida and Cuba.
Funeral Services will be held on Friday, December 20, 2024 at St. Michael the Archangel Catholic Church 1 Wilhelm St. Schererville, IN. Interment will follow at Memory Lane Memorial Park Crown Point, IN. Visitation will be on Thursday, December 19, 2024 at KISH FUNERAL HOME 10000 Calumet Ave. Munster, IN from 3:00 to 7:00 p.m. with a Vigil Service at 5:00 p.m. and again on Friday, at the church from 10:00 a.m. until the 10:30 a.m. Mass.
Noel immigrated from Cuba in 1980 and met Maria in Chicago at a school to learn English. He was self-employed and owned several smaller businesses. Noel was a hard worker, an exceptional father, a doting Papa and an animal lover. Noel gave his children a great childhood and life. He was such a remarkable man that his diagnosis with MS 18 years ago never slowed him down. Noel will always be remembered.
