Patsy Ann Gootee

Patsy Ann Gootee, age 78 from Hammond left this earth on October 9th to join her beloved husband, William Delbert Gootee Jr. at the Lords table. She was also preceded in death by her parents, Heenan “Jimmy” Conover and Alice Lynch Conover. A loving mother to Jackie O’Dea (son-in-law Jim) and Shelly Woodrick (son-in-law Jack). Cherished grandmother of Shannon O’Dea, Kelly Jaeger (Tony), Michael White (Jessica), and Richard Eagle (Rebecca). Proud great grandmother of six: Ryan, Aidan, Jillian, Fallyn, Gavin and Morgan. Fond Aunt of many nieces and nephews. She leaves behind one adored brother, Jack Conover (Wanda) and many Gootee brothers and sisters who were so much a part of her life from an early age. Pat was a lifetime resident of the Region and worked in the public for Parkview/ Sterk’s grocery for many years. She touched the lives of all who came in contact with her caring spirit. She will be remembered for her giving nature, sense of pride and witty humor as well as her inner and outer beauty. Her very specific wishes of a private gathering with only her children and grandchildren present are being honored. To all who knew and loved her, the family asks that you celebrate her life by sharing memories, stories and smiles with those close to you. That is how she lived life and would like to be honored.
