Scott Miller, age 72, of Schererville, Indiana, formerly of Whiting, Indiana, passed away peacefully at his home on March 29, 2025, surrounded by his wife and daughter. He was the loving husband of Nancy (Bercik) Miller, beloved father to Kristie Lynn Miller, dear brother of Lynda (Rolla) Pruett; devoted uncle to Megan Spoonamore, Ryan Pruett, Cody and Cali Grzybowski, and Jack and Grant Dennis; loving brother-in-law to Carrie (Mike) Grzybowski, Michelle Dennis, and William (Todd) Bercik. He is preceded in death by his parents Pete and Bessie (Farbak) Miller. 

Scott graduated from George Rogers Clark in 1970 and went on to attend Indiana University in Bloomington where he earned his Bachelor’s Degree. He was employed at American Maize, Olson Cadillac, and Napleton Cadillac.  

Scott had a true passion for sports, always cheering on the Chicago White Sox, IU, the Chicago Bulls, and the Miami Dolphins. He was also a big NASCAR/Indy 500 race fan. You could always count on him to be the life of the party with his fantastic DJ skills and love for music.

Scott enjoyed playing softball and basketball in his younger days, attending concerts, sporting events, vacationing, and spending quality time with his family and friends. He will always be remembered for his abundant personality, contagious smile, and most importantly his kind heart. Scott was loved by all and will be dearly missed. 

A private Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Brain Tumor Association, Unity Hospice and Palliative Care, or a charity of your choice.
