Richard E. Gross, age 87 of Lynwood, IL passed away on Wednesday, June 21, 2023.  He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Barbara (nee Czyl) Gross; two sons, Michael “Mickey” (Lisa) Gross and John (Kimberly) Gross; grandchildren, Zack Colley, Rachel (Orion) Kirby and Eric Brown; great grandchildren, Aidan, Molly, Jace, Orion and Carter Brown; brother-in-law, Richard Barrett; sister-in-law, Leona  Gross; and many nieces and nephews.  Richard was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph and Paula (nee Hohner) Gross; brother, Eric and Joseph (Anita) Gross; sister, Rosemary Barrett; nephew, David Gross; great nephews, Jordan Miller and Matthew Moreland; and cousin, Eleanor Marvel.

Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, June 25, 2023 at KISH FUNERAL HOME 10000 Calumet Ave. Munster, IN with Reverend Charles Niblick officiating.  Interment will be private.  Visitation will be on Sunday, at the funeral home from 12:00 p.m. until the 2:00 p.m. service.

Richard was a tool and die maker at for Ford Motor Company in Chicago Heights, IL for 31 years.  He enjoyed golf, flying, biking, camping, snorkeling, scuba diving and deer hunting with a camera.  Richard was a member of the Lunch Waffe and custom built a RV6 private airplane.  PLEASE OMIT FLOWERS.  In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in Richard’s name to the Alzheimer’s Association.
