Richard Yost, 87, of Highland, IN formerly of South Holland, IL passed away on Tuesday, April 23, 2019. He is survived by his wife of 67 years, Marilyn Yost; sons, Gerald (Anne Marie Burchill) Yost and Brian (Marvlyn) Yost; grandsons, Matthew(Kate), Benjamin(Kelsey) and Andrew(Chelsie) Yost; great grandsons, Camden, Roman and Emmitt Yost; brother-in-law, Gail Hastings; several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his brothers, Lionel and Glen Yost. Visitation will be on Friday, April 26, 2019 from 3:00-8:00 pm at the South Side Christian Church, 1000 Broadmoor Ave. Munster, IN. Funeral service will be held on Saturday at 10:00 am at the church. Interment will be private at Mt. Vernon Cemetery, Lemont, IL. Richard served as a MP with the U.S. Army during the Korean War. He retired from Northern Illinois Gas after 39 years of service. Richard was a member of the South Side Christian Church. He was an avid White Sox fan and fisherman. Memorial contributions to the South Side Christian Church in his memory would be appreciated.
