Bob Muldoon was born April 4, 1941. He quietly passed into eternal peace on November 17, 2016. He was a dedicated and loving father and husband, selflessly placing his family above all else. Bob was the definition of a self-made man. He began his career as a welder, moved into pipefitting, became a foreman, and worked himself into supervisory positions, finally enjoying an early retirement as a superintendent for Amoco Oil, now, BP. Bob and his wife of 51 years, Renee, enjoyed traveling throughout their lives, reaching destinations all over the United States, Mexico, and Europe. He loved fishing, occasional hunting adventures and being an active member of the Whiting Slovak Club, serving many years as an officer. He cherished time with his family, recently moving to Wisconsin in order to be able to spend more time with them. Bob is preceded in death by his wife, Renee (Franko) Muldoon and parents, Stella and Norbert Muldoon of Three Rivers, Michigan. He is survived by his sister, Elizabeth (Muldoon) Benko and her husband, Mike Benko. He is also survived by his son, Brian Muldoon, and his wife, Diana York, of New Jersey; his daughter, Lara Muldoon, and her husband Michael Gaffke, of Chicago. Bob is also survived by his daughter, Kathleen Muldoon-Glassen, and his three grandchildren, Alyssa, Rebecca, and Reid Glassen, of Wisconsin. Visitation will occur at 11:00 am on Tuesday, November 22, 2016 at St. Maria Goretti Church, 500 Northgate Dr. Dyer, IN. Funeral service will follow at 12:00 on Tuesday. Bob’s interment will be private. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to www.arthritis.org in order to help find a cure for Rheumatoid arthritis and provide relief for those who suffer from the disease as Bob did for many years.“Those we love and lose are always connected by heartstrings into infinity.”
