Ronald Paul Pierzchalski, 80, of Dyer, IN passed away on Monday, April 6, 2015. He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Dorothy (nee Eggebrecht) Pierzchalski; sons, James (Mary) Pierzchalski of Crown Point, IN, Michael (Karey) Pierzchalski of Sammamish, WA, and David Pierzchalski of Flossmoor, IL; Grandchildren, Angella (Timothy) Kuryga of Crown Point, IN, Christina (Jeffrey) Garcia of Chesterton, IN, James Ronald Pierzchalski of Crown Point, IN, Mason and Reid Pierzchalski of Sammamish, WA, and Allison Pierzchalski of Flossmoor, IL, ; Great Grandchildren, Cayla Cress, Kyle Cress, and Cole Cress; Siblings, Loretta White of Reno, NV, Twin Brother, Donald (late Janelle) Pierce of Hammond, IN, Lois (late George) McAllister of Manteno, IL and Thomas (Barbara) Pierzchalski; Many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Martha (nee Wroblewski) and Thomas Pierzchalski of Calumet City, IL; brothers, Robert (late Beverly) Pierzchalski of Calumet City, IL and Edward (late Joan) Pierce of Arkansas.Visitation will be on Friday, April 10, 2015 from 10:00 AM -12:00 PM at St. Joseph Church, 440 Joliet St. Dyer, IN. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Friday at 12:00 PM at St. Joseph Church. Interment will be private.Ron served with the U.S. Army. He retired after 20 years of service with the Maintenance Crew at T.F. North High School and was currently working with the Maintenance Crew at St. Joseph Parish for the past 18 years. Ron was an avid golfer. He was funny and a hard worker. In lieu of flowers, contributions to the St. Joseph Church Food Pantry in his memory would be appreciated.
