Ron Bolek, 75, of Munster, IN passed away on Saturday, April 4, 2009. He is survived by his wife of 52 years: Jeanette (nee Mosca); son: Larry Bolek; daughter: Sandy (Rich) Pellar; grandchildren: Adam and Nick Pellar, Cortney Bolek; sister: Bea (Jack) Madigan; several nieces and nephews; preceded in death by his parents: Stanley and Ella Bolek. Visitation will be on Tuesday From 3:00-8:00 PM at Kish Funeral Home 10000 Calumet Ave. Munster, IN with a prayer service at 4:00 PM and Wednesday from 9:30-10:00 AM at the church. A Mass of Christian Burial will be on Wednesday, April 8, 2009 at 10:00 AM at St. Thomas More Church; Interment: Elmwood Cemetery, Hammond, IN Ron was a member of St. Thomas More Church, retired from Inland Steel as a Planner after 35 years of service, attended Purdue University Calumet Campus and served with the U.S. Army. After retirement, Ron worked as a special project coordinator at Omni 41. Ron was a loving husband, father and grandfather. He was an avid sports fan who enjoyed fishing, hunting and golfing. Memorial contributions to the Hospice of the Calumet Area in his memory would be appreciated.
