I miss you Novak. We didn’t get along at first but we soon got over that. You have taught me so much knowledge I still carry with me today. You had a beautiful soul and will forever be in my heart R.I.P?

Ms. Novak was my trade instructor in tile at JJC. She was one of the realist people there, and that's why I picked her trade while shadowing. Thank you Ms. Novak for pushing me and believing in me. Rest in Peace.
Peace of mind is a call away. We’re here when you need us most.

Sandy and I would chat occasionally when she came to volunteer and teach at Chicago Women In Trades. She tiled my hallway kitchen last year and she did a beautiful job. Sandy, my husband and I had great conversations during her time at our home. I got to know Sandy a little more during this time as she told us stories about her years in the trades and her experiences on jobs throughout her 25-year career. She expressed how much she loved working in her trade, mentoring and giving back to the next generation. She was funny, gracious and ever so accommodating with my husband, singing 60's songs with him as she worked. Sandy was a trailblazer and phenomenal tradeswoman; she will forever remain a CWIT family member and Sister. I think of her with such fondest when I look at my beautiful hallway that she completed as her last job. Rest in Power and Peace Sandy.

So many laughs and honest conversation. Her kind spirit will be missed. Please accept my warm thoughts and prayers during this difficult time.

It has been 20 years since we lived a few houses down from Sandra and Caleb on Chase Ave, but Sandra made a striking impression on us. She was so tough and capable, but underneath it all was a very tender and humble person. What a creative soul! I have a jar of buttons and think of her whenever I add a new button. She loved you so much, Caleb; that was obvious to everyone. My condolences to you on your loss.
