Susan A. Pajak, 69, of Calumet City, IL passed away on Sunday, November 22, 2015. She is survived by her dear friend, Pat Livingstone, Cousins, Gayle (Carl) Shanks and their children Casey and Ryan Shanks. She was preceded in death by her parents, Edward and Pauline Pajak; cat, Marcos; parakeet, Bede and turtle, Miss Casper. Visitation will be on Wednesday, December 2, 2015 from 3:00-8:00 pm with a prayer service at 4:00 pm at Kish Funeral Home, 10000 Calumet Ave. Munster, IN. and on Thursday from 9:30-10:00 am at the church. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Thursday, December 3, 2015 at St. Ann Church, 3010 Ridge Road, Lansing, IL. Interment will be at Holy Cross Cemetery, Calumet City, IL. Susan graduated from T.F. North High School, Northern Illinois University and received her Masters Degree from Ball State University. She retired from the School City of Hammond as a School Librarian. Susan was a member of the Association of Indiana Media Educators, founding member of the Calumet City Historical Society, member of St. Ann Church, Lector group and Sewing group. Susan recently completed viewing all 50 states as part of her bucket list. In lieu of flowers, contributions to the Calumet Humane Society in her memory would be appreciated.
