It was my great pleasure to have known Tom. Through him I met his wonderful family, Carol, Dawn and Christina. He was Munster through and through. His passion for his community and Munster football was exceeded only by his love of family. I enjoyed every interaction with Tom and will miss his kind countenance. Deepest condolences to Dawn, Christina and the Largus family. May God's gentle hand rest lightly on your shoulders. I am with family in Colorado and will be unable to attend the memorial service.

I met Tom in 1974 when we played AGAINST each other in the Indiana High School Football All-Star game then played TOGETHER at Indiana Central (UIndy) for 4 years. Tom was passionate, tough, gregarious, charitable, and a great player/teammate. His voice calling his teammates to higher effort (or to dinner!) was easily identifiable. Don P and Robin P and I always tried to make a Munster game each year during Tom’s tenure as coach despite the distance from Tennessee for RP and the Indianapolis area for the two of us. What great memories watching Tom coach his guys (and a girl!) of whom he was most proud. All we heard from him was about Munster Football when we wanted to talk about old times, politics, and everything (anything) else. You are missed Tom Largus! JGP
