Agnes T. Matras, 94, of Calumet City, IL passed away on Saturday, May 17, 2014. She is survived by her sons, Michael (Julie) Matras and Nicholas Matras; daughters, Annemarie (John) Hopkins and Marian Matras; 7 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren; preceded in death by her husband, Thaddeus Matras and daughter, Rosemary Matras. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday, May 22, 2014 at 11:00 AM at Our Lady of Knock Church, 501 163rd St. Calumet City, IL. Interment will be at Holy Cross Cemetery, Calumet City, IL. Visitation will be Thursday from 9:30-11:00 AM at the church. The two most important things in her life were her family and her church. She reveled in the experiences of her children and she found great comfort in the rituals and practices of the Catholic Church.
