Alan Bonin, age 57. Lifelong of Lansing. Passed away October 9, 2016. Beloved son of Loretta and the late Eugene Bonin. Loving brother of Roseann (Ken) Jordan, Cathy (Gary) Grunhardt, Nancy (Ron) Hanrahan, and Kim Marie Bonin. Dearest uncle of Sheree and Ron (April) Hanrahan, Danielle (Nathan) Harvey, and Angel and Matthew Hansen. Alan is also survived by many aunts, uncles, extended family and friends, and his beloved cat Precious. Alan was a graduate of T.F. South High School and went on to work at various places in the Calumet region as a custodian. Alan never met anyone who he didn’t make a friend. He would talk your ear off and could tell stories with the best of them. He loved to antique and garage sale shop. When he wasn’t making friends or antiquing he enjoyed traveling and knew every road everywhere. Alan was self-proclaimed “google maps”. He was a very patriotic man who loved eagles and his country. A dear friend to many that will remain in our hearts forever. Visitation will be Thursday, October 13, 2016 from 3:00 to 8:00 pm at Kish Funeral Home, 10000 Calumet Ave. Munster, IN. Funeral Services Friday, October 14, 2016 at 10:45 am from Kish Funeral Home to Our Lady of Knock Church. Mass of Christian Burial 11:30 am. Interment private. In lieu of flowers memorials can be made to the LARC Home, Lansing, IL.
